Like a Pro, LLC. and GeniusDV
have joined forces to create 7 new Training DVDs and
create a comprehensive nationwide training network by
the end of 3rd quarter of 2004.
"GeniusDV and Like A Pro have tons of
synergy. We're looking to leverage our
relationship and expand our marketplace penetration by
combining our classroom training facilities and growing
a national training network with Like A Pro's fantastic
Project Based Training Content", says John Lynn, owner
of GeniusDV.
GeniusDV has accredited and authorized
training facilities in Orlando and Miami Florida, and
Columbus Ohio.
Like A Pro is in full production of 7
training titles, with 5 additional training titles
slated for release by the end of fiscal 2004.
The 2 companies will begin co-branding
Like A Pro's training titles, and building a nationwide
training network that provides on-site training for
clients that are unable to travel to it's classrooms.
Andy Jenkins, CEO and lead instructor
of Like A Pro says "Individual and classroom based
training was almost an inevitable evolution of Like A
Pro's training products. With GeniusDV, we're now
in a position to leap frog most of the start-up costs
and infrastructure associated with that kind of business
model."
The two companies have plans to offer
all of their training products directly to educational
institutions, including colleges and universities world
wide. Currently, several of their Training Titles
are being translated into Spanish for distribution in
South America and southern Europe.
Despite their aggressive Training
Product creation schedule, Like A Pro and GeniusDV are
actively developing additional titles in the Post
Production and Multimedia marketplace.
"Ultimately, we want to have either a
class-room course or a DVD training product for just
about every aspect of our business. We're also
entertaining training material outside of post,
including tutorials on Cinematography, Lighting, and
Production Management."
Both Andy Jenkins and John Lynn agree,
"We should have done this a lot sooner".
